Nov-03-01, 03:11 PM (EST) 1. "RE: GP7 Ready for downloading" Patrick,I have a quick question. I'm trying to re-skin the GP7 as MKT #101. After many trial and tribulations, I'm almost done. I changed out the number in the numberboards for "101", but I'm still getting the "1234" trying to show up also. What am I missing?Henry Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Nov-03-01, 09:20 PM (EST) 2. "RE: GP7 Ready for downloading" I had the same problem with the Central RailRoad of New Jersey GP7 in the file area. If you are using Photoshop, you need to get into the "channels" area. You'll see "red, green, blue, and alpha". Select the alpha channel. The screen should reveal all the areas that are transparent. The numbers "1234" will be almost in the middle of the screen. Erase or paint over them then type in your own numbers, save, and convert your .tga's using makeace.exe and you're in. Jake. Once I get that to work, then all I need to do is find the proper "KATY" herald. Then, it's upload time! Thanks for the info, Jake!Henry Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

"RE: GP7 Ready for downloading" Will this help?Message Areas - "GP7 Ready for downloading" – image 1Get yourself a copy of the "Schrader's Railroad Catalog" - this came from p.62 - "Railroad Heralds". It's got a wealth of info and logos in it. They also have a website: www.railroadcatalog.comGood LuckJake Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Nov-04-01, 02:31 AM (EST) 6. "RE: GP7 Ready for downloading" Actually, that's the one that I have on file. I need the one that looks very similar to that one except that it has "KATY" and the place of "MKT". If I get a chance, though, I'll look for that catelog. It looks like something very useful to have. Thanks!Henry Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Nov-04-01, 00:00 AM (EST) 4. "RE: GP7 Ready for downloading" Oops! I'm using Paint Shop Pro and it appears that things aren't quite that simple. I can load the alpha channel information, but I haven't figured out how to alter the aplha channel and save the result. And guess what? The "help" command has not been all that helpful. <g>Any light that a PSP user can share would be helpful.Henry Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Nov-06-01, 12:14 PM (EST) 7. "RE: GP7 Ready for downloading" Well, after a bit of cussin' and growling, I finally got the new alpha channel to work. Now I just need to mess with the color a bit more and I should have some GP7s in the MKT "Barringer" red ready for upload. Thanks, all!Henry Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
