I was reading a site from Pueblo Colorado an orginization called the Pueblo Locomotive & Rail Historical Socity Inc has started there resteration of A Baldwin 4-8-4 ATSF# 2912. I have seen this Locomotive up close and its massive http://www.pueblorail.com/tour/2912.htm to have a look at it I have been looking for a more up to date picture as I thought I had one that I took but I cant find itDon Pottorff Long Live the Steam
Oh yeah, 2912 will be an impressive steam engine to ride behind. The PLRHS has done a great job on the station and everything.I believe I heard she should be operational by the end of the year.Austin S. http://milwmsts.netfirms.com/
Yes I was compairing the charts http://www.sps700.org/locostats.html and accroding to the link in my first post it will put the ATSF 2912 just under the Challenger in most reguards and above the UP 844 and the SP&S 700 moving the 700 down to forth and the 844 to third in size when it becomes operational. it also appears that the 2912 will be running Excursions up the Arkansas river valley and I can only hope one if its stops will be the Royal GorgeDon Pottorff Long Live the Steam
Hold up I do belive that the SP&S will be moved to 5th place New Mexico is working to restore the ATSF 2926 wich is also of the 2900 class of Northerns and its specs are on this site http://www.nmrhs.org/ Don Pottorff Long Live the Steam
wile Browsing about the ATSF 3751 I found a Chart of Northern Locomotives that are opperational in the US and here is a compairason of all of them i would just take the last one as a comparason with both the Pueblo and New Mexico 2900's since the makers of this site probbably were unawair that another 2900 was going to be operational http://www.sbrhs.org/484com.html This site also Gives links to the web pages of all the other 4-8-4 locomotives that are operational I also just realised that we have 5 of the 10 Northerns in MSTS that are operational isnt that cool just 5 more to go to be developedDon Pottorff Long Live the Steam
