Dissapointing....Im gunna cry....Waited at the yard for about 2 hours. The latter hour was pouring rain most of the time. At 7:30 pm, 2816 was still in Chatam On, 1 AT LEAST one hour away. So it'll be at the yard at the soonest 9:00, although some people were saying she'll most likely roll in at around 10 or 11. It did derail on Windsor, not much info is out yet, even from the Empress Crew (The two very nice people who were selling some souvenirs....I did pick me up a nice hat and a few pins!) And the've had a hot bearing ever since Mactier, So every 1 and a 1/2 hours they stop and manually grease it up. It's spending the night in Woodstock, so in the very early morning...I'll go and get some pics for my website. The ONLY train that actually came through was a lone SD-40-2 #5077 (I think...not sure) Just the engine, nothing else, and going VERY fast. The Engineer waved his hand out the window so the people would get off the tracks. Did they have the mainline off limits to any train except the Empress and any other High-Priority frieghts?......O well, Hopefully my website will be updated by tommorow night. From what I am hearing around the water cooler (not the offcial reports, just gossip), lead truck and front driver pair derailed over a yard lead switch, Not known yet if it was a problem with the trackage or 2816 lead truck, although the current thinking is that it was the switch. As for the hot bearing, grease cake engines always run hotter on the bearings, and 2816 has had a few problems with that one before. As I find out more, I'll post.. Cheers Harold
