MSTS err… BNSF 4723 spotted, Moody, Texas – image 1

For my 1000th post, Here is the result of a Trek to Temple, Texas today. Sitting southbound in the Moody, Texas siding is BNSF 4723. I actually was fixing to dismiss as another H2, until the numbers could be seen. I pulled over post haste! It appears to be hoglawed- not a soul in the cab. Heads up you simmer/railfans from Temple, Texas south. Now the pics.

The last time anyone saw it at Tehachapi was around 9 p.m. on Friday, October 11th, 2002, heading for Richmond.

If its in Texas, its probably on the old Frisco mainline. Darn, I should have stayed in Missouri.Later NW 1218 LONG LIVE THE F40C!

RE: MSTS err...BNSF 4723 spotted, Moody, Texas

I live in Sealy, Texas which is about 45 miles from Houston there is a siding yard three tracks used by BNSF, they travel alot over there, most of the times I have seen SF, BN and BNSF engines. Whenever I see BNSF engine I looking for loco number 4723 to take a photo of the loco, so far havn't seen one.Blazer26

RE: MSTS err...BNSF 4723 spotted, Moody, Texas

If the cars are loaded, it was probably the M-GALHOU from Galesburg, IL to Houston, TX. 4723 went through here over the weekend on a westbound manifast, although the BNSF SD40-2 behind it wasn't in the consist (least isn't listed on the lineup (had two other C44-9Ws behind it). I've seen it so many times it's nothing exciting for me anymore. Another rumor is going around about the MSTS decal coming off within the year.Austin S.
