Two Questions:
1) What spotting features would identify if a B23-7 (or any Dash 7 for that matter) is equipped with dynamic brakes?
2) Which roads use dynamic brakes on their B23-7s, and which roads don't? Even a partial data on this question would be appreciated. Jonathan Nikiforovs.

Jonathan,The DB resistor grids are located behind the large radiator intake screens on the dash 7's, and earlier U-boats. Except for the late production C36-7's, which have them in a box behind the cab. Makes them look like a hunchback http://archive.trainpix.com/BNSF/GEORIG/B23-7/4264B.HTMIn this shot you can just see the grids. This is the only way that I know of telling if a unit is equipped. David.
