Washington DC Track Map – image 1

Does anyone have a detailed track map of Washington DC Union Station or the Washington DC Metro(I mean a detailed map not like the ones you find in the trains). I need one to look at for my model railroad and if I could find one for the Metro I would model it for MSTS.Formerly Known as Metrolover in till the forum software started to hate me.

RE: Washington DC Track Map

There used to be track maps of the entire WMATA Metrorail system available on the Internet...but with all this paranoia, er, security concern going on, the site that had them was asked to remove them.Unfortunately, I never saved the one I downloaded...even though I am a contributor to that site!!

RE: Washington DC Track Map

The Metrorail line in the NEC4 route doesn't cover the whole system. The line in that route is a bit fictional and a mixture of the Red (covering Union Station and Judiciary Square) and Orange (covering between New Carrollton to Federal Center) lines. The actual Metrorail rail system has a total of 5 lines: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, and Blue.

RE: Washington DC Track Map

For the most part, the track layout in NEC4 is very accurate, except as noted, the Metro line is not, but not complaining when it was added in for posterity. Having ridden the metro many times from New Carrollton into DC, I was kind of hoping to see the long bridge that spans the river from Deanwood to the Stadium stop.Chris Bogley
