I'm caught in a tie- Chicago, Milwaukee St.Paul & Pacific a.k.a. MILW a.k.a The Milwaukee RoadSt.Louis Southwestern a.k.a. SSW(!) a.k.a. Cotton BeltMissouri-Kansas-Texas a.k.a MKT, OKT, BKTY, OKTT, etc. a.k.a KatyAll three are fallen flags. Two to the same Borg.... erm... Railroad.
So far, I seem to be the only one that voted Norfolk Southern, but they're my pick. They're my favorite 'cause they, and the Norfolk & Western before them, run right past my house on a regular basis. I just can't imagine cheering for any other railroad than them---it'd be unnatural, and my late neighbor would clobber me if he got the chance. I've grown up watching black and white precision transportation thunder past my house since the Carter Administration, and love for the thoroughbred's in the blood at this point. All that being said, I've got a certain affinity for the Pennsylvania & the Penn Central, since they used old locomotives, and anyone using worn-out and vintage motive power usually gets a fair nod in my book. (Or maybe it's the Pennsylvania's close-to-Tuscan red along with the Penn Central black and white which reminds me of my favorite railroad...) 'course, I'll have something nice to say about almost any Eastern railroad, fallen flag or not. Long live Patrick McGinnis' paint schemes, but not his rule.

nothing wrong with BNSF (in my opinion) CN is the worst - i dont like what they have done.....TAKING OVER WISCONSIN CENTRAL!!!!!and they tried taking over BNSF too!!!How dare they!! - lolthe only reason i dont give BNSF 10/10 is that they killed Santa Fe blond scheme. Im not used to seeing all these ex-Santa Fe SD40-2's in BNSF pumpkin. But i do like the pumpkin on all comfort cab locos! Cheers Mike"What would you do if I sung out of tune? For some reason soon after I got MSTS and started downloading here. I fell in love with the MO-Pac Screaming Eagles. Since then I consider MO-Pac my favorite Railroad, becasue they had such cool paint schemes and a very cool logo. I also love MO-Pac's slogan of being called the Route of The Eagles. Too bad I was too young to remeber the Blue Screaming Eagles in Kansas City becasue of the UP of Borg assimilating the cool Blue Screaming Eagles with their less atractive Yellow and Grey paint schemes.
