Sep-21-01, 11:31 AM (EST) "We know what you like, now what do you want?" I'm a WM nut, so all I need is a chop nose GP-9 and I can relive the glory days of the Elkins subdivision (they had mainly F-units, RS-2 & 3's, and GP-7 & 9's).Any ALCo would be well recieved (can't wait for the RS-11 from abacus, very close in appearance to my all time favorite the RS-32). Can you picture a trio of C-628's? Alot of rolling stock is in the 50's - 70's era so far, so maybe continuing with that era of engines and routes??? I'm saving my pennies for Print Shop Pro, so I can start contributing to at least the paint schemes... Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

But as a stop gap fix try downloading tgatool2 from http://fly.to/mwgfx It will let you work on .ace files and .tga and even let you modify or atleast retain the alpha channels using MSPAINT that is included with your windows. It is no Paint Shop Pro. But you could at least create something useable if you have the time and until you got the money.

I can't get it to work with transparent windows, and not particularly user friendly, but not that bad for free. They have a more potent shareware version that I have not tried. For .bmp files the real class is ImageForge. You can try it free for a number of days. It is great! It is very powerful and gives you lots of well designed tools. Pretty easy to get nice repaints with this one.
