This is why I check the local train sheets every day when I get in. 2816 was chartered for a private business trip. Working at HQ has definite photographic advantages..

hey HAC, do you work at the CPR HQ? See, this is why Canada is cool.How many Santa Fe steam engines and F-units do you see in original paint on the BNSF??? ZIP, NADDA, NOTHING! Plus, where else do you have a rail line passing dirrectly infront of one of the msot popular water-falls? (Actually that kicks, cause i was in the one hotel, you could se the falls PERFECTLY, but i burned a roll of film out that window, not on just the falls, but every time a train passe dinfront of the falls, i got a picture of both......that kicked man! Canadians know where ot build buildings!

What about ATSF 3751 or SP&S 700 or SP 4449, the all ran on BNSF tracks last year. They even took 3751 through the Grand Crayon on a photo special last summer.

yes, but do the major railroad sown them?(and no body say anyhting about UP, we all know about their big-boy and DD40AX)

How about UP 844 the ONLY steam locomotive still owned and runed but its origional owner. The 844 is still in its origional colors. And it has never been off UPs active roster. And the 3985 is also owned by the UP in its origional colors. What about that? UP Rules!!!

Hi Harold . I have heard a rumor that 2816 will be in Toronto area for 10 days in June . Also that it will be doing several main line trips (one to Orangeville and Forks of Credit). Do you have any further info ?
