I have stayed out of the you and Chuck wars, but this takes the cake. You need to get the bulb between your ears checked, I think you have a 25 watt instead of a 100W there. He's just in a snit because he guessed wrong on the out come of recent events....Since thousands of Marines (US & UK) didn't die on the beaches going ashore slaughtered by the "Elite Republican Guard" (there is an oxymoron for you) and thousands of Iraqi citizens did dance in the street in Baghdad welcoming US troops with "Flowers and kisses" instead of "bullets and shoes" as his hero and role model, Baghdad Bob, a.k.a. Comical Ali, predicted Larkie has been off his feed.... Hell he never got over George Bush's criminal disregard for all the unsolicited advice and orders from such political and military stalwarts as the French.... I think he is also shocked that the American body politic didn't take the advice of a few high school dropouts from Hollywood who think with their crotches and immediately drag the President from the White House and lynch him for daring to defy the will of Messieurs Chirac, Cretin, I forget the Leader of Belgium and Herr Schroeder...Larkie also is a lot less civil then he used to be and has now taken to equating the President of the US with Adolf Hitler and the US Armed forces with the Wermacht.... I think he referred to me as a Neo-Nazi! Sour Grapes I think....I think Larkie has demonstrated his total lack of comprehension of US culture and/or government organizational prowess by calling the Dept. of Homeland Security the SS or the Gestapo...

It would seem that all criticism of the USA's actions recently must be snuffed out eh?To be brief,there was no "guessing" involved regarding events in Iraq.
As I've said before,nobody,including myself,was in disagreement as to what Saddam's ultimate fate should be,but staging an illegal war,based on lies and damned lies is\was not the way to achieve it,if you want to be respected by the rest of the world for reasons other than your arsenal.Where are the WMD's?where is the linkage between Iraq and OBL(remember him)?.Saddam was also reported to have many "doubles",can you not catch even one of them?At least T.Blairs advisors admitted it was to secure the 40% of the "worlds"(USA's?) oil supply.Whilst America lurches towards a one party state,where the main political opposition party is scared to criticise the party in power,because it may be labelled "unpatriotic" by that same ruling party,and the population acceeds to their Constitution being torn up in front of their faces,and for them to be personally policed by the "Homeland Security" organisation,I do,as an outside observer,see similarities between the USA and 30's Germany.The German people then didn't realise until too late what their election of Hitler really meant,and were wholeheartedly behind his initial illegal military actions on their behalf.On May 1'St we had Parliamentary elections here in Scotland,certainly not a one party state,nor two,three,or even four party state.
Members of TEN different political parties were elected,though over eighteen parties stood for election.The results were,for those with a democratic interest(no not the party for those of slower wit).
Scottish Labour 50 seats,
Scottish Nationalists 27 seats,
Scottish Tory 18 seats,
Liberal Democrats 17 seats,
Green 7 seats,
Scottish Socialist 6 seats,
Non affiliated independant candidates 4 seats.These latter four include two members thrown out of mainstream political parties,one Labour,one SNP,for being "off message",though not with their constituents,one protest candidate against a hospital's closure,and a "Pensioner's"(interested Chuck?) party candidate.Not a hanging chard in sight either,as we still use old fashioned pencil.So until the USA becomes as politically diverse as my country,spare me the lectures on democracy,especially those extremist neo Nazi ones wrapped up in the flag of patriotism.You're not fooling the world,only yourselves.

But, I'll be happy to do it again:Forums - Where to post.General Forum - General railroading forum, for topics not specific to any one simulator. The General Forum is for everything Railroad Related. You can post about train sightings, other simulators out and about the internet, such as Microsoft Train Simulator, Bose View Express (BVE), Auran Trainz, Train Driver 3, Black 5, Train Dispatch 3, Rail 3D, Playstation 2 Rail Games, and for the fun of it, your Sim City Railroad etc. National Events, such as what happened on September 11th, Volcano Eruptions, Major Earthquakes, Tornados, Hurricanes, etc. It is ok to post about this on the forum.Maybe you'll be interested in reading these this time.

I agree it's not very funny. Neither is watching a lovely
young woman fall hundreds of feet and explode into pieces
on impact. Yet someone found the idea appealing enough to
make the necessary travel arrangements. Isn't that odd?

Now I have a question for you. Whenever I see a deer near
the track while running the sim I always switch to the '3'
view to see if it's laying dead on the track after the
train goes by. Does this mean I like to see them die or I
hate it? *STAMP*

It's not that he burned the flag since (IIRC) that photo was taken just days,if not hours after the attacks on 9/11/01 and the man would apparently have no problem with doing to innocent civilians what he's doing to that flag, sometimes payback is in karmic form.
I would find a terrorist miswiring one of his little toys and inadvertently blowing himself to heck and back and taking no innocents with him funny as heck.Gary S

I believe that this is reported to have caused several "own goals" on the part of the PLO.
I think this activity is covered under the "If you want to meet 70 virgins in Paradise let us help you "right the heck now" Program of the IDF.

You see Chuck,you do talk sense at times,and I agree with you there.However talking about bedsheets,and elections,the following springs to mind in Dunoon,your old stomping ground.Des Divers and other SSP members from Dunoon branch were holding street meetings in various parts of the town. By the time they reached Spence Court, their reputation had gone before them and the residents were out on the street, keen to hear what they had to say.
One woman had painted an old bed sheet with 'SSP' and hung it out her window. By the time the SSP cavalcade showed up the sheet had been blown over and only 'SS' was visible.
Her friend shouted up: "You canny see the 'P' on the sheet."
"I hope no," she replied, "Cause ah gave it a right good boiling before ah painted it!"

Easy there Clayton...Both of my posts were clearly parodies....
Humor intended....
Neither was meant as a blanket indictment of Arabs or West Virginians....Living and working as I do in the DC metro area there are a ton of West "By God" Virginians and Arab-Americans around..... Along with the native southerners and us carpet baggers from up north (never mind the whackos from the "left coast) you should hear some of the Cross-cultural Banter.. none of it serious.....However I personally do subscribe to the theory that terrorists by and large are mostly Idiots and Cowards and well deserving of what is happening to that "gentleman"!
FWIW, IMHO a real warrior confronts his enemies directly. He doesn't deliberately target women and children. I think even the Koran supports that view!
A real warrior doesn't send children out to kill themselves and kill other children in homicide bombings or suicide missions aimed at unarmed women and children. Or make spectacular speeches to the TV Cameras and then hides when the "real warriors" come around....

I wasn't going to get involved in this argument but referring to an Arab as a "mindless camel jockey burning his bedsheets" and being of Arabic descent I find the comment offensive. Why not also add Towell Head as well and make sure you really get people offside.I accept the fact that there are many idiotic Fruit Loops in the Arab world, most with warped views of the western world but to tar us all with the same brush is not fair. Agree 100% I go out of my way when on this subject to state that the problem is not Arabs or Islam but "radical Islam.
The pictures of Afgan's and Iraqi's freed of brutal dictators show that these people want freedom just as much as the next.
Belive me I've had more than a few encounters with folks that think the only thing wrong with the Taliban was that Islam was the religion running the show instead of Christianity but other than that it would be just fine(and maybe the fact that they weren't in charge)Gary S

I found your other post about your life
experience giving you a morbid sense of
humor rather intriguing as well. Then
I saw your picture in the what do we
look like thread. Was that just bad
lighting and you moved your head while

ears, well that's a different story.
Trouble is because I look normal people

to my question about running over the
spring-loaded plastic bambis, I was
indulging in a bit of whimsical hyper-
sensitivity as there seems to be a good
deal of the real kind in this thread.
Sure enough no one seemed to notice
but you. So I shall reward you by
sharing one of my many mind warping
life experiences. (don't try this
at home) On memorial day 2000 I was
at a picnic with some friends. There
was a large pile of green brush that
needed to be disposed of, but because
it wasn't seasoned, it wouldn't light.
First, we tried lighter fluid. Nope,
fizzled out. Then a little gasoline.
Lit, but burned out inside of five
minutes. So guess who climbs on
top of the pile with three gallons
of gasoline?
Yep, that's right. Fortunately
I decided to stand back and toss
a flaming twig. If I'd been right
next to it, well... I might not be
here today. Emerging from the flames,
I took a bow to the applause of the
much-impressed onlookers, then rolled
in the grass to douse my burning
sweatshirt. I shook hands with the
host and left chunks of skin stuck
to his hand. We all had a good
laugh and I went inside to apply
a stick of margarine to various
parts of my body, and asked for
a ride to the hospital. Luckily,
antibiotics controlled the infection
that developed in my left arm. Be
glad you weren't there to smell that,
I might add. So here in this great
long thread we see the difference
between funny 'ha ha' and funny 'oh, god
that is *weird*'Wasn't that funny? Hey, maybe I should
post the screenshot of the car between
the engines... that's funny, I can't
