Okay. I've been in the cab of a TGV (in Milan), ICE (in Basel), RTL II, and Acela (both in Penn Station), but not moving. Where did you get that cab ride? When?

Interesting thing is that an NJT engineer or 3 have told me it is properly ALPS as in Advanced Locomotive Propulsion System....
I have also been led to believe that is also the way they teach it in "Engineer's School" in Kearney...... And also how it is referred to by the MMF (Morris Maintenance Facility).... And on the BLE Web Site....Where did you get ALP??????
Other than the mountains in France, Switzerland, Italy and Bavaria????Seriously I have seen it written both ways and that is why I asked....
Any one else know or have an opinion....P.S> Sterling where are you when I need you?

RE: Amtrak AEM-7 For NEC

Chuck,A good way to find out is a Google web search.ALP44: 253 results mostly about NJT locomotives
ALP46: 142 results mostly about NJT locomotives
ALPS44: 2 results mostly about mountains in europe
ALPS46: 3 results (2 about mountains and 1 about NALW!)From this it is safe to say ALPS44 and ALPS46 is unique NALW parlance.cheers

RE: Amtrak AEM-7 For NEC

For any nalw member, has the sound or model file been edited on the AEM-7 since the 1st beta i think MSTS need more cab sounds for locomotives i'm tired of hearing the same ones all the time and i know not all locomotives have same sounds on the inside.
