Sep-17-01, 02:48 AM (EST) "SCARY PICTURE! FAKED or REAL?" I received this as an attachment in my email. It is spreading like wildfire. I suspect it is a fake. But what if it isn't. And even if it is, the sentiment and emotion it evokes is true enough. You be the judge.Some see a face. Some see more. I thought it looked kind of like satan smiling. What do you think?Technically it appears to be a television grab. And the 'cnn exclusive' is written twice and in different fonts... not consistent with CNN. The CNN.Com logo would be easy to find. And over laps the image frame just a bit. I don't know. We have the technology to fake it. Most of the repainters here could do it easily. I think it's a way of dealing with the unbelievable reality of what has happened. If you walked out your door today and looked around at clouds, trees, hills and other objects, I'm sure you would be able to find faces everywhere. Random patterns that resemble faces in the smoke of the attack doesn't bother me. What really "freaks me out" is the realization that there are 4500+ fatalities within that pile of rubble that was once the twin towers. He got them directly from two different reputable news agentcies. This was the handy work of Satan and those unfortunate misled muslims. I just choose not be a hypocrite and go to church while living my life in the opposite manner. I try to respect everyones right to religion or absence from religion.I try to live my life one day at a time and be kind to people in general, and help those that I can help, when the opportunity arises. I didn't post this thread because I was trying to recruit anyone into any belief system. I just wanted to see if the photo was faked or not and to open a discussion on that. What you lend to this discussion or take a way from it is totally up to you. That is what this country is based on. The 1st Ammendment to the constitution gives us that right. The Internet gives everyone equal access to the soap box. WOULD THERE EVEN BE AN INTERNET if there wasn't a bill of rights? Maybe, but only the Military would have access to it.I was not trying to take any attention or respect away from those that were killed, injured, survived, or in any way affected by the events that happened one week ago. My heart aches and will forever be touched by the events. By the tragic loss of life. It breathes, and feeds, and it breeds.Now, I have a friend who is a firefighter; and he's shown me pictures of house fires, and hotel fires he fought. One in particular, an old building that had at one time been a hotel burned down. No one died this time...but in the 20's, the hotel had had a bad fire, killing several people.Well, in the pic, if you look real close, you can see faces in the fire and what looks like demonic grins coming from behind several windows. Fire is alive...there's no question.
In the house fires, I've seen pictures that have heads and even hands reaching out trying to burn trees and stuff around...and I've even heard a tape of a scream coming from an empty building. The scream was the water hitting the fire...and the fire "screamed" as it went out.That's a face...much as I hate to admit it. For that fire is alive...not was, since It's still burning.

I am one of those people who do not beleive there is a single or multiple great being out there that people should worship for no valid reason. That also does not mean that i have no faith. I am appaled to see people assume that atheism means you refuse to accept there is faith, which is not technically correct. I don't feel i should beleive in a being for me to have love and compassion and to be a useful addition to society. I can do these things withough believing in a GOD. so for whatever reason, I think that anyone who tries to say and force the beleif that there is GOD is hypocritical. You yourself have NO clue wether there is one, but you choose to beleive in one. Fine. The point i am trying to make is, that you do not go around trying to enforce your own beleifs on others just because you feel they are right. As far as the smoke goes, it can look like whatever you want it to look. Same goes to clouds (which are basically smoke), trees and other things as some other people said. Most religions tend to fight about what is the correct way to practice religion, they are missing the point. Faith is believing in God and that the son of God died as a payment for all our sins, so when we die we may live with God in a perfect place forever. Some people believe this is just a myth that has been made up by people, that is their choice. But the way I understand it, God will not debate with anyone, it's pretty much his way, isn't that his right being the creator. But what is he asking us to do? simple, love one another and take care of one another and acknowledge him and try to follow the rules he has set forth so we can all get along without hurting each other. I know many people who have gotten caught up in the Catholic tradition not the Christian faith. It trulely is a shame that the Catholic church emphasizes tradition so much as it tends to confuse people more than it should about their enternal destiny. However, I know as many Catholics that aren't caught up in the tradition, some even worshiping with their hands raised and dancing. Being you do have a Christian background, you know that Christ died for you and that God loves you. What has happened is that you have not had a true real life encounter with Christ. I will be praying for you and I hope that Richard is reading this and will also be praying for you for that encounter.
I would be willing to bet that if you were in a car accident and you and your car were plummeting off a bridge to your death, that you would call on the Lord, and you know what? He would answer! I just hope and pray that you don't wait until it came to something like that
About the Catholics and all that land they own... would you rather there be a marijuana farm, a crack house, or a strip club on that piece of land?
As a Christian, we are commissioned to spread the word. Since you already know the word, someone needs to get in your face to hopefully wake you up to what you have left behind. And I am glad that everyone has taken the opportunity to voice their opinion to my original posting, and then some. No matter what anyone believes I would hope that you could all agree that you ARE all on the right track, and that the mainline passes directly through train-sim.com. Regardless of the final destination, the originating station, the number of red signals or delays, the livery of your choosing or the lack there of. Your paths brought you here on your life's journey. And that America brought you the tracks that lead to train-sim.com (the internet.) And that Nels Anderson is the creator, ever merciful and generous, of this site.America is great not because of our similarities, but because of our differences.
