I'm new to MSTS, but have been trying to find the answer to this question and can't.I notice that some crossing guards (sorry if I'm using the wrong terms) are not working, especially on the Marias Route. Also, when I run on the Carrizo Gorge V2.0 Route I can hear the crossing guard bells when on an outside view, but don't hear them on most other routes, including the Marias v3.1 Route.I would love to hear them and have them all work!Any help would be greatly appreciated."JD" Cooley

RE: Crossing Guards Sounds

I would like to know how to remove those sounds from Settle-Carlisle for greater authenticity. I've noticed that the two Japanese routes which come with MSTS have different crossing alarm sounds than the Marias Pass route (whose crossing gong sounds seem reasonably accurate - at least if US crossings have the same noise that Canadian crossings have).I've also noticed that the default Settle-Carlisle route also comes with level crossing gates which have an alarm sound (sounds suspiciously like the Marias Pass crossings). This would be quite wrong, since the U.K. crossings of that period were not equiped with alarm bells, horns, gongs or other noise makers. They were not really needed since the gates were manually operated and closed the road completely (there were no ungated crossings on public roads).
CheersJohn
