Missing Accounts

Notice to all visitors and members of the Train-Sim.Com message forums:
If you plan on using a signature banner in your posts, we would like to remind you that there is a maximum size for banners. That maximum is 450 pixels wide by 120 pixels high, and not to exceed 25k. Your compliance is appreciated. FORUM RULES Problems? There are two common reasons for problems with logging in and posting messages. The first is that you are running a firewall that prevents your messages from being sent to the server. The other is that you have cookies disabled; the DCForum software requires cookies to work properly.

As many of you know, the forum software crashed yet again a few days ago and apparently took with it some unknown number of user accounts.If you cannot login any more, with the symptom being that you are told your login name does not exist, then you will need to register again. You can of course use the same login name as before.Sorry for the inconvenience.

I think the forum software dislikes the number 9000. When accounts were lost the previous time, the members count had reached around 9200, this time we were over 9000 as well. It looks like about 500 accounts may be affected. Does it have a limit?

Like we have 9000 members now. Then some will get deleted. So let's assume 8900. Then after 100 members sign up, it will reach 9000. Then it will delete again, etc.

Where has my favourite LUL train gone? Maybe it was sent for bolt checking again...

Just a small announcement, the new user attackzach is just a kid being weird. I did not lose my account. No, I do not think I am a hot shot, just letting people know so questions for me won't go to him.

Hi Zach,I think some of us had already come that conclusion. I noticed that whathisname had reversed everything from your login and signature, and concluded that someone was playing silly what'sits. Mind you, it never hurts to post a clarification.I wonder if the moderators would delete this particular user - it wasn't very polite to use a mock-up of someone else's username.

I'm a charter member and I couldn't log in but I just clicked the "Click here to retrieve your password." button and I got a new password which I changed to my own one (I ain't gonna tell ya what it is )

I got the Username invalid message, so I recreated my existing user name. That worked, kept my post number (for what that's worth) and more importantly my bookmarks were also retained.John
