Jun-11-01, 02:47 PM (EST) "Brakes won't release from rear end of train" At least with the GP38, I have found that if you uncouple from your train, run around to the rear end, then try to shove from the rear the train won't budge as if the air brakes are still set. Handbrakes on cars are off, loco independent brake is off, and guages in loco show no trainline air reduction. Is this a bug? Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

When I first contacted the car with the front of the locomotive it did not couple (according to the F9 monitor window). I went back and forth and got coupled and then I could push the car.

The F9 view is messed up, hard to couple onto cars and acts like al the brakes are on the cars. It is a bug that I hope gets corrected soon. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Yep just went and run the 2x GP-38 6 car Mixed, and ran around the cars. Double clicked hand brakes off, then coupled up pulled on them to check coupling, and then shoved against them and away we go. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jun-18-01, 07:51 PM (EST) 7. "RE: Brakes won't release from rear end of train" You have to be coupled to see the other cars, right? How can you set/unset the brakes if the cars don't show up in the F9 window?Lee Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

I've had this problem quite often with long consists, too. In other words, I can't "see" the whole train using the scroll bar. Also, occasionally the couplers won't release, and I find myself frantically double-clicking on them. Sometimes they let go - sometimes they don't! Setting the brake on the first car (if it has them!) behind the break-point will usually work. Heh.. if you're on a grade it's almost mandatory!! Lew
