Hi Y'all. Figured you'd get a kick out of this idea.I live in Vidalia, home of the "sweet onion." Well, come Apr 10-12th, We're having a special festival to celebrate the onion. (don't ask..)Well, on the 10th and 11th (friday and saturday) HOG, or Heart Of Georgia Railway, will be sponsoring the "SAM" Shortline. Southwest Georgia excursion train.This train, pulled by a vintage (and nicely painted) GP9 (low nose no dynamic) will travel on a one hour east to west ride over the HOG railway. The train will traverse trackage currently owned by Georgia central, which historically owned by the Central Of Georgia railroad.Advance tickets can be purchased in Vidalia, or by calling 1-912-537-8033 (Paula Toole) for more information.(she's handling the tickets and stuff for groups)So, Y'all come and if you do, I'll see ya there.
