RE: All quiet in the General forum

As head swells up........>>kinda seems like i'm holding the place up myself along with a few select members...<<Oh please, give me a break. I enjoy a spirited debate just so it doesn't get too nasty. My pet peeve is people bitchin' about a thread they don't like, too negative. Well, DON'T READ IT! Very simple, do NOT click on it!!! Move on. Why is so difficult for people to understand this?Don, don't go. Nothing better than listening to what older people who have been around awhile has to say! History don't ya know.Have a good day,
Bob & O'Riley

"My pet peeve is people bitchin' about a thread they don't like"This is in no way intended toward Macster, but rather others. When finding themselves losing the debate they needed to change the subject. Today's find of a "Huge" chemical weapons factory in Iraq proves that. Enough said.

Posting derogatory comments back and forth is hardly a debate, and is definitely not in the best interests of the forum or the community.>Today's find of a "Huge" chemical weapons factory in Iraq proves >that. Enough said.Remember there is a war and truth is often more scarce than usual. So unfortunately it is not "enough said."- Andrew

RE: All quiet in the General forum

Don't worry Dennis....
I signed a truce not a surrender!
When this is over and The "Truth" comes out...
I will post the Mother of all "I Told Ya So" posts on here...
'course I give it about 10 mins and then like my last post all 10 of Saddam's apologists will alert it like they did my last post....Andrew, I happen to agree with Dennis vis a vis your stance...
I still personally feel that at least some of it was because "your side" was getting their ox gored since you never intervenied when there were personal attacks against any of "us"....However I examined my own posts and decided that you were correct about these posts not helping anything and in fact hurting the community.... So I decided to rise above it. And that is why I signed the truce....We will see about the outcome of all this and then there will be one last round of posts....I'll either get to say I told you so or I will be eating barbecued crow!

Bob
Agreed on the spirited debate and if one goes back and looks 99% of my posts were argued on substance, there were some(Those currently present excluded) that took to making just nasty attacks.Andrew
We all need that person to come in and go "hold on fellas, lets calm down" and thats how I took your post.Chuck
Agree with you, standing down, truce, whatever. the mother of all I told you so's is coming. All in all I consider the batch of all ya here as online buds and sport no ill will towards anyone,Hell my ol departed pal Glenn and I used to get into some knock down, drag out discusions and were still fast friends till the day he passed on.Gary S

I'd be willing to help as a Canadian mod. I'm on here all the time, litterally, cause I've got DSL and this site is much more appealing to my interests than any other sites... If you're interested, private message me or something. I personally think it would be good for the forum to have a teenage Canadian mod. Others may not though.*~þHÃt*Rat~**~classic american playa~*
