What is a GP40M. I always understood that the "M" in EMD designations stands for modified and refers to a comfort cab, but this type does not have one. So what does the M stand for in this model?

RE: What's a GP40M?

I'm interested in modeling such a unit sometime, and I need to know what kind of physics I should use. Which would be closer? the GP40 pyisics (provided in the Version 4.5 physics folder), or the GP40-2 physics.

GP40M's were rebuilt from GP40's, so unless Morrison-Knudsen installed Dash 2 technology in them, it would be closer to the GP40 physics.Jordan

I know they installed a Dash 2 style dynamic brake blister, so I wonder what other Dash 2 features did they install.
