Well, as May slowly comes along, I have been working on the Computer for GorgeRail 2003 to show off the famed, Microsoft Train Simulator. Also, somebody from Auran's Trainz On The Road program will be joining me at this event.I need somebody to Volunteer to make a couple Activities. Just enough to give the users a taste of Microsoft Train Simulator can do. The consists need to stay under 50 cars, The routes I will be using is Lehigh Valley, Marias 3.1, Northeast Corridor *hopefully V4 will be out for the Acela, along with the AEM-7* and the Conrail Indy route. AI trains would be a huge plus. If anybody would like me to promo something new, a route, locomotives and freight cars, i need to know by March 31th.Thanks, next update will be on March 31th.
At least you were able to get someone to allow you to do a demo. I tried to get the folks at the Greenberg train shows to allow us to do a demo at the Atlanta show and never got a response. They have the demo running, but no one there can answer questions. Last time I was at the show I spent over 3 hours as an "Unofficial" spokesman for the program, so I figured that maybe they would be willing to allow our informal MSTS group in Atlanta to do the next show. Sent 3 e-mails and never heard from them. Oh Well. Best of luck with the show. -- John Tackett --
I noticed a VERY American flavour to that, ever thought about showcasing the best Australian stuff (i.e. James Brook's bulldogs - would get you yanks interested because they're our F7) for half-an-hour at one stage or something?Just an idea, don't shoot me for saying it. Hia,staying of topic & with you, Aussie Cow: Could be an interesting concept, just to show visitors the variety of trains & designs... Hey, even we guys on the electrophile continent once had something faintly E/F Class-like. The Dutch and the Swiss together ran 5 of these luxury trains between the cities of Amsterdam/Brussels/Munich/Zurich. One was lost in an accident, but four of them survived and were eventually sold to Canada where they became the Northlanders (also after a winter or so the Canadians decided to replace the fast, but ageing motors with adapted F7's) - Ok, time for you guys up North to jump in with a sequel Back in their European days, when they were still called TEE RAm's, I remember watching them cross over from the Swiss into the French railway station at the age of 4, torturing my poor Mum by wanting to sit in that enclosed waiting room on Basel plattform 4 all afternoon long. Ah sweet memories.Lukas a.k.a Swissie
I thought that the swiss TEE units were these things. http://groups.msn.com/MSTSNarrowGauge Jonathan Lewis jonathanmlewis@msn.com Building NG route from Ouray,Co to Pacerville, Co. Track laying complete. Now doing river, road and forest placing. Overall 60% complete. Also building Cripple Creek line and other RR's around Gold Hill route.
Hi Jonathan,> I thought that the swiss TEE units were these things.me usually too - for pure chauvinism, probably - but to get it right: Of the five trains built, 2 were listed with the Swiss Federal Railways "SBB CFF FFS", 3 with the Dutch Railways "NS" . The one lost in an accident was one of the two Swiss units (#501 if my memory isn't playing tricks on me). Lukas a.k.a Swissie
