RE: Fan and radiator part of an SD20

Howdy, Try searching the web for IC/ICG related photo sites. Also, did you know there is a SD20 in the library already?
Good luck!!!Kelley D. Ellison

RE: Fan and radiator part of an SD20

Howdy, OOPS!!! SO it is a HO model!!! LOL Well my friend, go to the Yahoo! Group Illinois Central Model group, moderated by Brian Strom. YO can find as much info and help there as you will EVER need to get the project done!!!
Hope this helps!!
and BTW, The SD20 has more variations than you can count, so you need to know the EXACT number your modeling, if you get that picky!! lolGood luck again!@Kelley D. Ellison

>that picky!! lol Well, i did notice someone started with a Kato SD35 and replaced the dynamic section, and added some details.....i'm working on a free-lanced railroads purchase of a unit, so i'm not picky about it, but i wondered if it was like that of an SD35, an SD40, or an SD9....

RE: Fan and radiator part of an SD20

Sorry, don't have any photos of the radiator section. As you can see, you get a choice of road number colors on the cab.

RE: Fan and radiator part of an SD20

Hey all, If you notice, not only do you get a choice of colors for numbers, but the ICG is a different size, the "Paducha-built" builders plate is in a different place, as are several details. Again I mention the IC modelers list on the Yahoo groups section!!If all else fails, I have Brass ones I could shoot for ya. BTW, only the first few Sd20's had the grey numbers. (Actually, this goes for the fleet of all units as well.)THe frames and battery boxes are different too. If you get to the Yahoo group, ask for Brian Strom, or Dan Bohannon. Those guys are the ICG power gods!!!
BTW< only the last two units were rebuilt from Sd35's. If I can get up to Janesville, WI I could get you pics of the WSOR's old Sd20's as well. I would LOVE to see your model when done!! The SD20 is my second fabvorite loco!! They willwalk away with a whole yard if you let them!! I worked on them on the WSOR. NICE power, albiet old. Good modeling!Kelley D. Ellison
