You guys remember the Monogehela RR?

They had some Super 7s from GE, and some GP38s i think, got sucked into Conrail? ANyway, here's they're OLD logo, then one with a newer twist, lol Old logo firs,t then the "new" oneAnd i did NOT intend to start a "Flame Me" Thread...

- 421 class Public Transport Commission of New South Wales diesel electircs:
Fuel & Air tanks - 95%
No. 2 end - 88% (Pilot details and number boards/headlights need to be added)
No. 1 end - 05% (Headlight & handrails are on)
Sides - 33% (frame work is up, about 1/4 of panels on)
Overall - 15.3%
- 422 class New South Wales Government Railways diesel electircs:
On the drawing boards for a project after the 421's.
Overall - Not official

Is this the Monongahela Pennsylvania RR? I live in Monongahela and never seen one of those. Only Conrail up to 2001 and started seeing NS.

yes- conrail took over Monogehela in 1993 - if u see any conrail B23-7R's - they were former MRR B23super7's - they have a dash8 style nose and ratiator cheers

Uhh, its IN Pennsylvania, tall viaducts, long coal trains, lots of loaders/cleaners, thats the Mon......Their units were grey, with that on the nose....

I always saw a SW1500 or a SW something in Mathies mine. I am guessing it was a former MRR loco. Always watched it ride up and down the tracks in 97 but I was only 8 then though. Memories of conrail. Too many.

yeah i've seen the B23-7R's that CSX inherited, #3185-3188. 3185 and 3188 have alternated local duty up here in northern ny. all 4 of them are still in conrail paint i think. i think they look ugly personally.joe
