comments please..oh..and before you say anything..NYCTA subways should have a 1-4-1-4 pattern (this is a reference to the type of ties) instead of a 1-3-1-3 pattern like mine but limitations in MSTS prevent this... Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Aug-26-01, 06:17 PM (EST) 2. "RE: Subway Track Textures: WHAT DO YOU THINK" I'm not sure if the ties in subway tunnels are supposed to be concrete or wood. Ties in open cuts, on ground, and on elevated track structures are usually wood. Jeffrey. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Aug-26-01, 10:29 PM (EST) 3. "RE: Subway Track Textures: WHAT DO YOU THINK" btw..the picture is old..have updated one in ROUTES forum...well...this is a generalised texture because of the fact that the subway has about 1,000 different ways that track is laid down. from what i've seen the wooden tie is on TOP of the concrete and it is popular method, obviously without doing some major work on the track 3d files we cant do that so i did the next best thing and made it look like the ties were in the concrete and yes i have seen use of wooden ties.. Aug-27-01, 00:29 AM (EST) 4. "RE: Subway Track Textures: WHAT DO YOU THINK" I tried making my own track textures, was partially successful altho they didn't tile correctly, especially on switches. I
CTRL-C ed the picture from the techdoc, and trial and errored my way to a size that makeace would accept, so obviously I'm wondering where you got your template? Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
