What kind of train sim are you looking for? There are train sims where you drive the engine (MSTS, Auran Trainz, Trainmaster), one where you dispatch trains (Train Dispatcher http://www.signalcc.com/train2/td2freeware.html), and one where you switch cars (Yard Duty http://groups.msn.com/YardDuty/). Train Dispatcher and Yard Duty are less graphics intensive, so they work better on slower machines, but it depends on what you want to do.I have everything but MSTS, and I like them all.Paul Metzger
Well, you *really* should state exactly what you system has. It would make it easier for us to make suggestions.I can tell you about my system.PII 400mhz GeForce 256 Old Harddrive, ATA33, it really shows when loading scenery on the fly in MSTS. 256MB PC133 SDRAMI have MSTS set to the highest texture qualities, sky on (w/skycondutor2), precip on, detail levels set high, distant mountains ON, ANDNO SHADOWS, and MINIMUM DRAW DISTANCEI get 15-20 fps as long as I'm not driving a 100 car freight, which I don't care to do anyway.Oh, and I have the GeForce Mipmapping set to "Performance" rather then Quality.Cheers!
