I finally contacted a friend who I knew had lots of photos laying around of trains he has taken since 1987. I took the negatives and had them transferred over to CD. Here are a few which (for me at least) brings back some fond memories.....Hope you enjoy --- plan to place these on a developing website of mine - hopefully in the not-so-distant future. Thanks! Michael

The Family Lines woodchip hopper would make a nice model. We don't have a woodchip hopper in the library that looks like that. The NS uses that type woodchip hopper also.

Howdy,
God I remember the good old days!!!! Going to Bensenville, Il on the old Milwaukee in 1986, and seeing Chessie/B&O/C&O/FLS/L&N come in on freights off the IHB. I miss those days!! Today is just too boring.....at times...
BTW, if you seen the UP GP40 in one of the first pics, that is a ex-Western Pacific GP40-2!!!! All fresh and shiny!!THANK YOU for posting the shots!!LAter!

Thanks for posting these shots, I really enjoyed looking at them. Plus I never have seen a former Clinchfield unit with CSX patch. Thanks again for posting them!
