Well Xmas has been over for 35 mins now.
So what did you get for xmas?
Hopefully lots of Trains and MSTS stuff!
I got:
Some clothes,
Kato RDC CN 1&3 N scale
Raildriver controller (hasn't arrived yet... Stupid customs!)
Money- guess what i'm buying?!? Model Trains. Friday im heading over to the hobby shop.
CN 3DTrains F3 Pro pack.-Like 5 gifts in one!
DVD player-can't wait to get Train DVD's.
Computer controller.
Microphonr headset.Well Merry xmas!

Hi all, Gave my home to family and friends, as well as a Christmas feast, and got much needed gifts and gave the same. My mom did shock me with a DVD player though! I got my father the The Star Trek ultimate motion pic box set and my mom gets her gift when she gets back from Iowa on Friday. I won't say anything here just in case she's reading on my aunts computer. As for myself I will be getting Sim-City 4 when it comes out. along with maybe some msts add-ons.

Very well said, Cal. That is something I can never seem to convince people of. For me, the best part of Christmas is the warm glow on all my friends and families faces. This year was exceptionally special for my wife and I as we were able to enjoy the holidays with our two new neices (first Christmas for one, second for other ... but she's gotten really cute to watch). Also, my fathers family was brought together in its completeness for the first time in tweleve years. That was very nice. However, unfortunately our other neice and nephew missed Christmas as their household had contracted a nasty illness. They seem to be better now, though, and we are all planning to celebrate Christmas with them tomorrow (Saturday) night. But at any rate, either list is way too long to post here ... So, the top item from both lists is ... I gave my wife two sets of Boyd's Bears Winnie the Pooh Holiday Collectable Ornaments from Disney (had to order them ... only available in U.S. and I'm in Canada). My favorite gift I received is ... well, I'm using it right now. My wife surprised the heck outta me with a new Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop Pro. All I can say is Ray

Dad- A new and first computer (It was the only way to get him to give up WebTV,now just have to seduce him to the MSTS side of the force)

From my lovely wife a 1 4/8 SNJ trainer(with a note attached telling me to build it now and enjoy a ride in the front seat of the real thing come August.
From Mom in Law- My wife told her about my intrest in the CA&E so she went to Barnes & Noble she was told they had one book on it in the warehouse,she ordered it thinking it was a book my wife got from the local library It wasn't it was Sunset Lines Vol.1(any traction fan knows what a rare bird this is) when I told her I really couldn't accept such an expensive gift(the book is out of print and I've seen copies going in the 80 to 150 dollar range) B&N had it for 36.00(sorry guys last copy)

Gave my wife a custom ruby pendant, and a leather coat.
She surprised me with a nice bottle of the 18 year Macallan, and these really gorgeous shirts.....(yes, these will get worn)
I also picked up a new strap for my working RR watch, and a nice box for my 1950 RR pocket watch (Hamilton 992B, bar over crown, CP issued, mint)Cheers

Well i gave and recieved a new computer, how does that work you ask? Well me and my 2 brothers bought a new computer for Dad, but i'm probably going to be the one who palys on it most , so that how that works, plus my other x-mas present was a Train Trip to America in late sept / early oct.
So i'm pretty happy with my x-mas NZ

Too many relatives to run a complete list, but I got a big kick out of the smile on my wife's face when I gave her a set of DVDs of her favorite Doctor Who episodes (old British sci-fi series for those not in the know). She had been seeking a source of tapes, but since our family gift this year was a DVD player it was a perfect way to jump-start her collection. For the record, she got me a DVD of B&O Odyssey, Vol. 1 (no shots of Sandpatch that I could tell though, dang). Little Fuzzums got a variety of toy blocks but seemed more interested in playing with the boxes they came in.I must say though it was a very good year for getting train stuff. One of my aunts gave me an antique hand-crank telephone from her days as an agent on the Aberdeen & Rockfish (now if I can just find the right place to display it....). In addition to the B&O DVD the wife also got me copies of Triumph II and III (excellent series of books on the PRR). Also got a copy of Trainz from Mom & Dad (at the prodding of the wife I suspect ). All in all a very good year from both the giving and getting standpoints.Mr. F
