RE: Directx 9 Final Out

I'll wait until I get it from my MS account rep, or can download it from the MS DirectX homepage, and thats just being prudent.

weird.. depending on the consist I see a difference...with the Talgo, I'd get 24FPS with Dx 8.1, now it jumps between 28-61fps...*shrugs*

LAST EDITED ON Dec-22-02 AT 00:08 AM (EST)

I got a mid-range system (GeForce II MX440, P-III 800EB Mhz; 384MB RAM); and I've noticed at least a 33% increase in framerates..Not to mention that when I run DXDIAG, the initial bouncing-square test is so fast that I can barely see it..I had to turn the graphics acceleration down to 'Basic Accelerator Functions'; just to correct problems with programs suddenly unexpectedly crashing, problems with the mouse pointer, etc...Problem is, MSTS don't run with Basic Accelerator Functions..

RE: Directx 9 Final Out

Hi Guys,I have a question about Framerates. Where do I find info on Framerate in my PC or the game? I hear you guys talked about the framerates all the time. Where the heck do I find out where it is?
I checked the property for the video card and DirectX and no mention of the framerate. Amy help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi,press Shift-Z when you're in the game at any time you're driving. The fps will show in the bottom right corner.ozace50
