This may not seem to important to some of you. I am very fortunate to attend a high school not a few fields away from the mainline trackage to St. Paul. Sure enough while going home today I saw a UP freight heading south, passing a long-ish coal train to the power plant in St. Paul. The UP train was triple headed and guess what the last locomotive was? It happened to be an old NS unit, perhaps an sd40 or 40-2 (hard to see from that far away). Naturally I was kinda shocked, seeing that paint scheme way over here in Minnesota. How many NS units was up able to get? the one i saw had that typical "lazy" repainting, with only the number painted in the red text on a yellow background.About time – image 2
