My man, YES!! You grabed a picture AFTER BMEC rebuilt it (Note that it is now a BL15) It had a new enging installed and improved cab controls, not to mention a snappy new paint job! I was going to model it as Before rebuilding, and after (only slight texture differences)Rebuilt by Brookville Minning Equipment Corp. in 1998 or 99, not quite sure anymore, into a BL15 with a new CAT motor under the hood. 51 went through similar treatment.

I live in Borckway, Pennsylvania, which is right along the main line, as i write this BFBT speeds by.The B&P SD45 #457 is in the file library, just search for "Pittsburgh" with out quotes.

RE: John's Loco Works announces:

Well, the B&P isn't a fallen flag, very much NOT so! I beleive they're ranked as a class 3 and climbing!I also did the Pittsburg(h) & SHawmut SW9 in the file library, all of which have been sold to other railroads when GWI took over opperation of the Shawmut.

Actually, I live in Olean, NY and I am talking about when B&P ran trackage rights trains from Salamanca, NY to Olean, on the ex-EL line then up to Buffalo on the ex-Pennsy Buffalo Line. Though these trains ran at night, I always tried to catch one everyonce in awhile and even have a video of one at night illuminated by a streetlight. I talked to one of the dispatchers of the Western New York & Pennsylvania Railroad (the new operator of the EL line) and he said that B&P still has rights from Salamanca-Olean-Buffalo, but they are not using them. What is the traffic like on the B&P nowadays? Once I get my license I would love to follow the line down to New Castle someday.

RE: John's Loco Works announces:

The b&P opperates two main-frieght trains over the entire system (Pittsburgh, over trackage rights to Butler <home station>, then to Buffalo) The BFBT leaves Buffalo (BF) and travels towards Butler (BT)BTBF is vice-versa.Small locals are such; DB-1, BL-1, etc....Hope this helps, and if you have further questions, dirrect them o Mik Zollistch (i think i really butchered his last name) at BPRR2000@Aol.com
