Jun-05-01, 06:46 PM (EST) "Still got to wait till the end of this month for my MS Train Simulator" Still Got to wait till about the 26th of this month for my copy of Microsoft Trainsimulator. A new member here, and am looking forward to this Simulator, been following it the past few weeks.I am into Flight Simulators, so my computer should run this Simulator Ok. Am running Fly2 Ok, and guess that's a lot more intensive than MS Train Simulator. My Specs
450 PIII
160 megs ram
tnt2 m64, 64 bit, 32megs graphics card
vibra 128 SoundcardAnyone here running similar specs, or near mine, would be interested in what framerates etc, your getting, and how well MS Trainsim is running on your system, so I can at least get some idea, on how well it's going to run on my system. Also what settings are you using? Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

I ordered form www.ebworld.com and recieved my copy on June 5th.Im running some crappy specs:PII-400 Mhz
DDR 32 ATI Radeon
256 megs 'o ramI still can manage FPS in the 20-30 range on Marias Pass with most sliders near max. I still have no clue why I can actually get such great frames. David Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

"RE: Still got to wait till the end of this month for my MS Train Simulator" No Buying mine here in New Zealand when it comes here this month. Not bad framerates, and your specs are less than mine, appart from extra memory. Depending on how well your computer is madeup can make a difference. Many shop bought computers will preform poorly compared to the eqivalent madeup one. A poorly put together, or shop computer will preform poorly. If yours is a builtup one. Maybe this is why you have a good framerate. Mine should work fine. Fly2, the latest Flightsim from Termial Reality is hard on computers, and a good test of how good your hardware is, and that runs fine on my computer, and get about 10-15 fps on that, and can go down to even 6.70 fps in clouds and still remain smooth. Flightsims like Fly2, and MS Flightsim 2000 are more demanding than the Train Simulator so looks like my will have enough to run this sim ok, with acceptable preformance.
