RE: UP's NEW CABS ON SD-70M's

Looks like all they did was bulge the nose a little to allow for a bigger door. Are there supposed to be other improvements? Maybe they expanded the toilet so they could put in a throw rug and a sink with some of those little perfumey foo-foo hand soaps, you think?Mr. F

Those nose style doors are also found on the SD90MAC-H's and CP Rail's version of the SD90MAC-H so it's no new concept. It does look funky though.

>It does look funky though. Yes it is on CP's and UP's SD-90MAC-H's. But the windshields on them are rectangular, and the sides of the nose are not slanted. But this one is. A "visibility enchancement I guess. Its a combo of the SD-90MAC-H and C44-9W cab. Also the wings look good up higher.

It is brand new and was not in a wreck. Fresh from london, ONT.

>mike NS's SD-70M's will be just like that, but NS's will have the "standard control stand" instead of the desktop. Seems NS's crews like the stand better than the desktop. They will also have NS's new logo.
