For interest sake I had a car of dimentional pipe (big red pipes) and its destination was Bakersfield CA via Union Pacific at Kingsgate probably through Portland or somewhere near. It was loaded in Regina Saskatchewan Canada and went down CP's Mainline on November 2 2002. I will have to get the car number but it was CP 315XXX. IF anybody sees it let us know. It is one single car of banded redish pipe. Rob 20
I'll watch in Sacramento/Roseville area. "Keep on Trucking by Train"Erik Pierson Sacramento, Ca www.sacramentolocomotiveworks.comBringing 1940s Southern Pacific to the digital age.
"CP" and Ipsco (Regina) pretty much ships the pipe on 89'foot red Cp 315xxx or 521xxx or 522xxx series flats. These pipes are longer than a gondola so they would not fit. Couldn't get the car number but I will look again in the next 2 days for it. I would bet it should be there within a week or so. rob20
