Aug-01-01, 01:25 AM (EST) 1. "RE: Display resolution" I assume you checked your desktop display settings, and all your drivers are up to date. The only thing I can tell you is to try uninstalling, then checking the \program files \microsoft games folder to make sure everything is really gone ( a lot of times these idiots put the uninstall executable in the delete command, and the file that's supposed to be deleting all the other files deletes itself before it has a chance to finish!) and try reinstalling, watching the options screens carefully to make sure it's not trying to load only the low resolution or something. One problem I had like that with another game, I found I couldn't set my desktop any higher due to having installed a direct-x upgrade, which reset my monitor to svga 800X600. Pryor to trying to run the game I hadn't even noticed that my default monitor settings had been changed, and the game was looking at what Windows thought my system was capable of, and only offered those limited settings. Re installing the monitor drivers fixed it. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

If you used the auto-deinstaller, go into Windows Explorer and check to see if ALL MSTS files were deleted before a fresh install. Also, before an install or reinstall of software ALWAYS defrag and scandisk then install.

Aug-01-01, 11:24 AM (EST) 4. "RE: Display resolution" One suggestion I have is click start in the tool bar, go to programs, microsoft games, trainsimulator then click trouble shooter and finally click change video drivers. This will get TS to reprofile itself and may bring the 1024x768 option back in the options display settings. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Not uninstalling the msts just reinstalling it. I will tell you now it wont work You need to fully unstall it that means clicking on unstall Micrsosft Train sim and then after it's done install it again. And it will have your setting again.

Aug-06-01, 09:58 AM (EST) 8. "RE: Display resolution" It sounds like you are using the video driver that comes with Windows rather than the viedeo driver that is for your card. Go to www.guru3d.com to download the latest driver if you have a Geforce card.bob Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
