http://www.coloradorailcar.com/I had a mental freeze once I saw these. i wish amtrak could use them. Alaska has them. At least one railroad in America has high class passenger service.( Amtrak still has the Acela! Also amtrak has gone much farther with thier situation that anyone could have imagined) -NHtrain
I actually interviewed at that place 2 yrs ago. I boute flipped when the placement guy said 'Colorado railcar.' Had a 2 hr interview/tour w/ them... (thats the best way to get tours is to interview w/ places) ....the shop floor had 3 steel bodies they were welding together, and in the yard (spurtrack) was a few cannidates for refurbishment. They were quite proud of their umpteen different pattents they had on the glass and that window design.....and even prouder that these cars were used in 'premium' service.........and NOT in that 'other' passenger service...... they said that the position was dependent on them getting some of their new contracts signed...........oh well.... and it was on the UP-Denver/Cheyenne ---train watching from the office Matt
