These are actually in service right now. I saw a set of an ALP46 and a few Comet V cars leaving Penn Station. Pictures to come... These are proposed designs for the bilevel cars that will, with some of the ALP46 locos shown above, replace Amtrak's Clocker service.
Were you planning on making this stuff for MSTS?Stuart D. Guberman Human & Equipment Resouce Director Atlantic Coastal Railway http://www.atlanticrail.com MTA - Metro North Rail Road Assistant Conductor
No. That is why I posted this in the general forum. The ALP46 is a variant of the DB101 class electrics which are already available for MSTS. The bilevel cars somewhat resemble those of the Dutch IRM Regiorunner bilevel EMU. The Comet V cars are unique. Someone is already doing the ALP46, but the others have yet to be modeled. BTW NJTransit is also placing an order for new diesel locomotives which have yet to be constructed.
Enter the PL42AC from Alstom. This will replace the GP40PH and GP40FH locos from those lines. There is no prototype for these yet (and no official design either).
To get this view, go to 32nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues in New York City at a parking lot in the back. Looks right out over the lead tracks to Penn Station.
