Jul-23-01, 03:33 AM (EST) "Random Crashes/Freezing fixed!" I installed Train sim into a clean ME partition with the latest drivers for absolutely everything, I ran defrags and utility programmes before installing the sim and run nothing else in this partition. I was still getting crashes to the desktop of complete lockups randomly. Having read a post on here I uninstalled the nvidia drivers by changing my adapter to standard PCI VGA, removed all trace of old drivers (search for nv*.*), rebooted and installed the drivers that came on the CD with my card (release 6.XX). Hey presto no more crashes, successfully completed two activities not a glitch. It would appear that the game was not written with or tested on the new Nvidia drivers as they weren't available then, however the manufacturers ones do work and I suffer no noticeable decrease in performance.For reference my system is:
Athlon 1200 (266)
256MB DDR SDRAM
Asus A7M Motherboard
Hercules Prophet II MX (Nvidia 12.41 release drivers)
CMedia on board sound chip
Promise Fastrak 100 Raid card and 2 IBM Deskstar Drives
