Jul-17-01, 09:43 PM (EST) "Which sim is better? FlightSim2000 or Train Sim" I am going to purchase one of these in the next couple of days. I have been on both the train sim website and flightsim website. Other than the obvious difference between the two modes of travel, which sim would one recommend. Thanks

Jul-18-01, 01:17 AM (EST) 2. "RE: Which sim is better? FlightSim2000 or Train Sim" I've been into flightsims since ver. 1.0 - roughly 20 years. I got MSTrainsim on June 2nd, and haven't put an hour's worth of time in my flightsim logbook since that day. I was a pilot and my best friend was an engineer with Conrail, and the trainsim is more exciting because it's all new. Believe me,I spent plenty of nights staring at a screen with stick figure buildings and totally green landscapes being thrilled at my ability to fly ( without having insurance premiums, BFR's, weather factors, etc. ) , and enjoyed watching MSFS grow into the product it is and the community that supports it. Here it is all over again, only the hardware and software has grown by leaps and bounds, so trainsim looks great right out of the box, and there's nowhere to go but up. Pick either sim, since there's plenty of folks that'll help out, but my personal preference is the steel wheels on steel rails. Jake. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jul-18-01, 09:40 AM (EST) 5. "RE: Which sim is better? FlightSim2000 or Train Sim" Right now, I would start with MSTS. FS2000 is very cpu intensive and a new version that has a lot of promise is coming out in a couple of months. I like both but am focused on MSTS since it came out.bob Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
