Jul-15-01, 11:35 PM (EST) "C 60 AC by Matt Miles" Just a little tip. If you downloaded the Union Pacific C60AC by by Matt Miles while it was still steaming in the downloads and then downloaded the fix and can't get it to work: you need to >delete the original download and fix. Then >redownload the engine >and fix, >unzip the engine first, >unzip the fix, >click yes to the overwrite, >copy and >paste >cabview and >sound files from the >default Dash 9 to the >C60AC folder. That's it! I was pulling what little hair I had left trying to get the computer to see it on the original download. Then it finally it hit me like a run away locomotive, I wasn't getting the fix overwrite window for the downloaded engine. Also the original download had some extra engine files in it. If you want it to show as a "C60AC" rather than "Union Pacific" in the consist editer window; go into the C60ACeng. file and scroll down to the bottom of the page > look for the line that says "name" >change it >from "Union Pacific C60AC" >to "C60AC Union Pacific". This worked for me and it should work for you. That's it. Happy rails to you! Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jul-16-01, 00:18 AM (EST) 1. "RE: C 60 AC by Matt Miles" All these bugs I read about in downloaded files make me a little leery of downloading things. You'd think people would run these things and be sure there are no bugs before posting them. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jul-16-01, 00:43 AM (EST) 2. "RE: C 60 AC by Matt Miles" I agree, but with all things considered I think we are lucky to have people who can do these things do them for all of us. How else do you learn about how to fix the bugs if you don't download the models. How else can you build a model railroad for free. I have melted the wires downloading stuff from this really great site with no problems other than a few bugs in a few models. Besides I think there will always be someone around to post the fixes until you learn how to do it for yourself!!!! Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jul-17-01, 09:55 AM (EST) 4. "RE: C 60 AC by Matt Miles" read your reply and installed 22.165m like you suggested. Guess what, there is a gap between the couplers, not as bad as before the change, but still there. Leave the measurement and inertiatensor at 21.8m!
