RE: Wild teens craving Railroading Buffs!

Here are mine. I know some of the pictures aent clear (damn digital eyeball) but i got them as good as i could get them.
The white hoppers were kits based on real cars unique to Minnesota. They belonged to the Golden Loaf flour company. The 50 foot was by Roundhouse products and the larger one by Athearn. The Santa Fe train is by Lifelike and the Western Pacific GS4 by Bachmann. The Lego crew but in a long day today but they found time to pose for a company photo. Ok.. I'll fess up.. The flash washed out the view from the cab windows, so I had to add it back in Photoshop from a second pic.
My real train stuff happens to be my CP issue 1950 Hamilton 992B pocket watch in a bar-over-crown case, still keeping time to 15 seconds per week..cheers

Well, here's some pictures of my "train-room": Photo 1: Upstarirs Computer which I use for most of my Train Sim repainting. Photo 2: Other end of the room, with my large amount of train posters on the wall plus my milepost sign. I bought the milepost sign (including the large metal pole) from the Lake Shore Railway Historical Museum in Erie, PA. They got it from Norfolk Southern when they ripped up their street running trackage in Erie (former Nickel Plate Line).Photo 3: My small layout with two CSX trains on it. Note the abandoned caboose behind the trees in the lower right hand corner of the picture. Photo 4: Another Layout Pic. Photo 5: My large magazine collection Photo 6: The other part of my magazine collection in an old Army trunk. Photo 7: Another Layout Shot. I have my power packs on an old school desk.

Lucky you!, im still stuck with a single loop . I had always planned to Get the Grand Valley kit from Woodland Senics but i couldnt come up with the money for that and the track pack. I also always hoped i would end up with the family's layout, but before i could even operate on it, i would have to do some restoration (clumsy guys in our family),like replace bent rails, and put trees that the cat pulled off back on, etc. etc.

We have some talented 3d train making people here I see, good work.No pics of me here, I was behind the camera, but here's the layout that I really should spend more time completing, if these things actually ever get completed . Pretty nice layout there Xacto. Possibly this winter me and my dad will start work on a layout in the attic. Only problem is that the attic will need remodeled slightly first and the bats will have to leave

RE: Wild teens craving Railroading Buffs!

This layout is also in an attic, and like you CRSD, I had to do a lot of work up there to get it fit for a layout room. (no bats fortunately). Despite the insulation, it still gets pretty hot up there in the summer. No, it's never been in MR, but my scenic style has been influenced by a lot of what I've seen and read in MR, so that might explain the familiarity of it.Thanks for the kind words.Cliff

That must be it. Your structures and rolling stock look very nicely weathered. I know how hard that can be sometimes.

RE: Wild teens craving Railroading Buffs!

It might look familiar to me because I seen a conrail layout in the MR called the big flats district.
