I know this news is fairly old news already but did anyone see the latest stunt of Robbie Knieval? He jumped a ramp right in front of a steam train right before the steam train hits the ramp and destroys it. Has anyone heard what Robbie Knieval's next stunt will be if any?Adam
LOL, that stunt was performed on the Texas State Railroad nearby Palestine in East Texas. I've been there, and it's the coolest state park I've seen here in Texas! lol Anyways, I remember seeing that stunt LIVE on FOX about 3 years ago or so. However, from what I know, it WAS NOT 8 years ago. lolI never thought they would let a steam train ram right through that ramp like they did! lol------------------------------------------------------------I'll never let go of the railroad that inspired me to involved with trains, the Union Pacific!
He did it in October of 2000 I think...I don't see how anyone could think 8 years ago, however I remember hearing about someone who jumped a 3-car freight train several years ago.------------------------------------------------------------I'll never let go of the railroad that inspired me to involved with trains, the Union Pacific!
>I >remember hearing about someone who jumped a 3-car freight >train several years ago. yea, some guy jumped a GP9 with passenger cars and a cabbose, the Geep made minced meat outa the wooden ramp, i guess that really illustrates the power for one of them...
i saw that too. the year prior i actually met the engineer of the train that did the stunt. was great PR for the Texas state Railroad, which is a nice 31 mile tourist line about 100 miles southeast of dallas. i've ridden it twice. the only standard gauage steam i've ridden behind. (saw the 3985 10 years ago)i'd have to say though that the Durango and Silverton is tons better in all aspects.
