This may be slightly off topic, but its a question I'm wondering about, that could be rail related. Is there a way that I could call a shipping company up, have them deliver a 40some odd foot Sea/land container (stack train kind) to my house on a spine trailer. Say Denver, Colorado as an origin. I would then fill the container with 'stuff'. They would then take the filled container to the BNSF, or UP intermodal yard here in town, where it would be put on a train to Washington State. Once it got to a port, the container would be put on a ship and taken up to Anchorage Alaska, where the container would be put onto another truck trailer, driven to a local destination, and unloaded.what I'm wondering is: 1-is this shipping arrangement possible? 2-how many $$$$ would it cost? 3-who would you call for such a thing? Thanks for any help on this Matt
