RE: Burning large files on CD's

CD-RW's are the best for burning data onto. They have the same capacity as a CD-R but they can be erased and re-written onto. Hope this helps

If you are referring to brands, anything but Memorex. Also, I would avoid store brands or generic. I have had a lot of trouble over the years with Memorex cd's and cdrw's. I recent bought a ten-pack of Memorex CD-RW disks and they do not work at all. Memorex magnetic media (tapes and floppies) work fine. Some brands that I have used with success are TDK, Sony, Maxell, and HP.If you are asking whether to use cdrom or cd-rw, I would recommend using cd-rw, if your system supports them. I rotate through a stack of cd-rw's, erasing the oldest and reusing it for the next backup. For permanent storage, cdrom is the obvious choice. Now, I've either answerred your question or missed the point of it altogether!(Edit): I normally use CDR-Audio disks. The audio disks are slightly more expensive but you can use them for data or music.Burning large files on CD's – image 1
