RE: Fat32 limits with windows XP

Hi Derek,The url takes you to MS okay, but is not complete, the url did not copy properly.
Does not matter though. To get there anyway,
1. Copy the Q314463 number, then click the first part url that is showing.
2. Once at MS click the search tab at top.
3. Searching the Knowledge Base page appears.
4. Then click on Try the Q number shortcut. or scroll down till you see a green arrow.
5. Paste the Q number in, then click green arrow. Thanks Derek, interesting reading for later when one will, or have to eventually upgrade to XP.Fat32 limits with windows XP – image 1

RE: Fat32 limits with windows XP

G'day Derek,Not your fault, as I too tried also to copy and paste it and it did exactly the same for me as it did for you. It must be something to do with the <;> part.I'm starting to check into things for a complete new P4 system and will use XP. All this still a bit further down the track though. I'm reading up eveything I possibly can to weigh-up all the pros and cons. This Limitations of the FAT32 File System in Windows XP was some more interesting info. Thanks.I did this back in 98 with Win98 and I'm still using the original first Win98 install and Win98 still goes well. Back then I did a lot of homework before setting up. It certainly pays off on the long haul.Fat32 limits with windows XP – image 2
