There are a lot of acronyms and slang used here in the forums. I am not referring to railroad slang but rather bbs and message board slang. Examples include LOL, BTW, IMHO, etc. There are quite a few that I have seen recently which I haven't been able to figure out. I can sort of get the idea by seeing the context in which they are used.Would someone care to help an "old" man (57) out by posting a guide to message board slang. I am sure others would appreciate it also. Anything that is "R" rated can be "****"ed out to protect the sensitive among us.

RE: Slang and Acronyms

Thanks guys. The two that I couldn't figure out were lmao and roflmao. When I was in the Navy, "rofl" commonly meant "rots of f***ing luck"!I feel more educated now. I'm not sure if I'm any smarter, however.DCForum Discussion Forum - Slang and Acronyms – image 3
