Jun-29-01, 05:17 PM (EST) "Bell Won't Stay On" When I try to ring the bell on the GP38-2, it only rings while I hold the "B" key down our hold the left mouse button down. According to Microsoft's instructions, it is supposed to be a toggle where pressing the key turns the bell on and then pressing it again turns it off. Has anyone else had this problem and is there a fix for it?Thanks.Gary Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

"RE: Bell Won't Stay On" I have the same problem, and can tell you that on the prototype GP83-2, when you push in the bell button, it remains pushed in until you pull it back out to the off position. Hopefully Microsoft Will be comming out with a patch to fix this and other problems. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jun-29-01, 08:38 PM (EST) 2. "RE: Bell Won't Stay On" Someone else posted this about 2 weeks ago, if I knew his/her name I would credit them here.To get the bell to ring continuously, press the "B" key, hold it down, then press and hold the "shift" key, then release teh "B" key, then release the "shift" key.
The bell will then ring continuously.personally, I dislike the default GP38 bell, the WAV rotation is not even, and has a "bing-bing-bing-bong" sound. Terrible.HKW Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jul-09-01, 11:59 AM (EST) 4. "RE: Bell Won't Stay On" well, this has to be the WORST sound engine I've ever heard in a video game since the old days before software mixing... Sheez. I mean, the sound itself is pretty good, but the way the program mixes them leaves a LOT to be desired. For example, if I click the throttle forward 4 notches, instead of the sounds going right along with the throttle, they click about once each second... weird.
