"RE: what train is this again" Your top picture is one of the GE Genesis locomotive...These engines are available in Microsoft Train Simulator. The second picture you have is one of French-built Turboliners, recently rebuilt by Amtrak. They have been having numerous problems (mostly electical, I believe) with these trainsets. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

What's wrong with buying trains from France maybe we can speed the train speeds up a little here. Most eropeans trains are very fast. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jun-29-01, 01:31 AM (EST) 5. "RE: what train is this again" How about a GE P40. I'm not sure how the name Genesis came into being or the AMD103 designation. Anyway it's all of those designations but General Electric say's P40 or the newer P42. It's use on almost all of Amtrak's long distance routes and some shorter routes. It has a top speed of 102mph.And a little correction on the second picture. The early Turboliners were built in France but from 1975 to 1976 the newer Turboliners were built by the Rohr Company in California.TAP
