VMD Releases Its Seventh Loco-Class

VMD releases its seventh loco-class, the SD70ACe and SD70M-2 packs, each individually detailed to match prototype information.

The following features will be included:

• animated radiator fans and 'cooling system', not just any animation, but following prototype practices with activation based on accumulated engine heat. fans actually 'cool' locomotive engine, so if you are running overloaded, uphill, in run 8, for prolonged periods of time, your engine may shut down.
• engine specs based on prototype specifications, prototypical traction levels etc.
• brand-new horn and engine sounds. recroded from an actual SD70M-2 locomotive on the Norfolk Southern Railroad, the beautiful 16-710 diesel engine sounds will blow you away.
• ambient noises and traction motor sound fx. while your sitting in the hole waiting for that green signal, listen to your dryer purges and air equalizers, generators activation, and air compressor when the air reserviors are low. traction motors make a realistic whine while locomotive is in motion, tone varies with speed.
• corona lighting for walkway lights, truck lamps and step lights, great night time effects.
• level of detail (LOD) models
• auto runing-numbers (where appropriate). your locos will always have a prototypical number on them.
• HTCR or HTSC-2 trucks (bogies) where appropriate for the prototype.
• as always, the highest in model and texture realism and accuracy.
