Train-Sim.Com Software Update Testing Begins

Off in the back room the team at Train-Sim.Com has been hard at work rewriting the software that runs the web site. We plan to switch to a php/MySQL based system that will make it easier to modify the site and add new features.

This of course includes our most important feature, the file library. We've now reached a point where we'd like other people to try the new software and help us find the bugs in it before we switch the site over. You should find the test site fully functional and that it will appear more or less like a duplicate of the site you are used to. You can, for example, download the latest add-on files from the test site and search and browse the entire file library there. However, please note that there are some important changes that we think you will like. The new file library software uses cookies for your login, and that means that, much like the forums, you can just login once and will not need to logout. You'll also notice new features such as direct links to prerequisite files (i.e., if one file requires another, a link right in the file description will lead you to that other file). Other things like the ability to recover your password are also included.
