NS Trains Released
NS Trains Released
Well the time has come. I've finished the beta tests. All the NS trains are now available for download as the 1.0 versions. They all now have animating wipers and pantographs. Some have updated and modified textures. The Class 1200 has undergone a serious revamp with new textures, new geometry and all the animations fixed. Also, with the Class 1200 you get three locos - the NS colours, ACTS colours and ACTS/VOS colours. The Class 1800 comes with two colours - NS and NS/Cargo. The intercity coaches are now available for download too in beta form, although I suspect there's not much beta testing to be done on coaches. The Koploper has a new engine too - there's now a derivative of the engine with the nose doors open for inter-train coupling.
Now this is important : the intercity coaches, class 1200 and class 1800 are all now chain-coupling, so you can only use them with European rolling stock. Just so you don't wonder what's happened when you try to make a consist with American rolling stock...
In order to make sure you have something to pull with those trains, I've started work on freight and cargo wagons to go with them. The first of them can be found (in progress) on this forum:

There'll be more along shortly. All the NS trains are updated and available for download directly from:
http://www.trainstation.cjb.net
Please read the release notes, and PLEASE uninstall any and all previous versions of my trains. If you try to install over the top, you might get some problems.
Finally, just because the trains are released versions, doesn't mean that work has stopped. It just means that future releases will be a little longer in coming - i.e., not every two weeks
Enjoy, and let me know what you all think of them.
