Midwest Rail System Releases Activity Pack
Midwest Rail Systems Headquarters Tai Chan, President of Midwest Rail Systems has just announced the release of the MRS Act Pack .12 BETA. This release now includes five activities.
The files will be distributed in the .apk format until the 1.0 release of the act pack. Tai Chan and his staff welcome all MRS members to download and install the acts to beta test, but he reminds all users to PLEASE check out, or "Pick Up" the act before completing it on the Midwest Rail Systems website, http://www.midwest-rail.com. You must file a work order completion report upon finishing the activity to receive credit for running the activity.
In addition Tai Chan announced the release of .96 of the Midwest Rail Systems Master Equipment Pack. This update includes a coil car, 3 bay hopper, and caboose used in the activity pack. It is offered in two versions an update for people who already have .95 and a clean installer for people how have yet to download the MRS Master Equipment Installer. A new Chicago Great Western Route Installer, which fully installs the route automatically, is now available off the website as well. (Updated on 2.8.04 to correct previous issues with this installer)
"We are in desperate need of activity designers and activities. If you can contribute to this effort, please contact Jeremy Handel at jeremyh@midwest-rail.com or me at taic@midwest-rail.com. We need anything you can make us that works", Stated Mr. Chan.
Tai also announced further progress on the Midwest Rail Systems Website. He told reporters that the Messenger portion of the site is coming along nicely and should be ready in the near future. You can already read messages, however compose and reply tools should be ready in the near future.
I have hopes that development and traffic of the MRS line will soon take off and he also noted that "we still need staff of any kind, especially people with MSTS activity and equipment editing skill". President Chan concluded the speech with the hint that a second connector route may be added to current trackage in the near future.
