Brockville Simulator Works – image 1 For general info: “infoTSGenie@sympatico.ca” To subscribe to the BrockSim News Letter: “newsBrockSim@sympatico.ca” News Release 2005-11-03 Call for “MSTS Genie 1.0” Restricted Beta Testers TSGenie Status Update: A short while ago Microsoft went RTM with the Visual Studio 2005 - and as BrockSim has the Universal MSDN Subscription, the VS 2005 has already been downloaded and installed. The VS 2005 installation was checked, tested out, and moved to the production server. TSGenie was then moved into the VS 2005 environment and updated. The recompilation and regeneration were completely successful. TSGenie is now being run through our automated regression testing procedures. Once TSGenie passes the final Release-to-Beta shakedown tests it will be packaged for distribution to the Restricted Beta Test Team. Restricted Beta Test Team: As our internal beta testing stage is winding down, the focus is shifting to the implementation of the Restricted Beta package. Therefore, now is the time to issue this call for some qualified members of the MSTS community to join our Restricted Beta Test Team. Would you, then, like to get on the team…? Because of the “restricted” nature of this beta test, there are some qualifications and requirements that the successful applicant has to meet to “get on the list”… The exceptions are, of course, the well-known developers of MSTS utilities, routes, rolling stock, and other add-ons – their efforts have secured them the place on the team and they can claim it simply by asking. If you have developed add-ons for the MSTS but, being modest J, you don’t consider yourself “well-known” then, please, let us know what you have developed. If you have uploaded your work to Train-Sim, UKTrainSim, or EUTrainSim then we certainly have a copy of your work as a reference. If you have uploaded your work only to regional servers in Australia, Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, etc. then, please, send us the appropriate URL. To make everything easier for you, and for us as well, please download “RBTT Application.zip”, the zipped copy of the application to join the Restricted Beta Test Team. It is in Microsoft Word 6.0/95 compatible format. Fill in the application and send it to “betaBrockSim@sympatico.ca” – either zipped or un-zipped. Every applicant will receive a reply (either positive or negative). Looking forward to hearing from you… TTFN and happy “simming”… Gaius DocSim of BrockSim
